Leads #1

1. At the Butte County Court, a local couple was awarded $150,000 yesterday following the injuries suffered during a traffic accident last March.

2. Forecasters predict that in the Sierras, a snowstorm will hit and following it, a series of more snowstorms.

3. According to the police, the fire today on 204 Union Ave. involved 3 firefighters and 41 families. While successfully evacuating al of the families out of a 6 story burning building, 3 firefighters were injured.

    1) Start with the couple and the award ("who/what"), not the location ("where").
    2) Awkward. Rephrase. Start with the impending snowstorm, not the forecasters.
    3) The news is that three firefighters were injured and 41 families had to be evacuated because of this fire. Start with that.
